10th Dead Sea Ultra Marathon (Oct. 18 2002), with the slogan "Don't just sit there, contribute, support & run to the lowest point on earth" and under the patronage of HRH Prince Raad bin Zeid breaked all previous records over the past nine years.

730 participants participated, representing 27 Arab and foreign countries, including Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Tunisia, Malaysia, Japan, Cyprus, the US, the UK, France, Nigeria, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, Sweden, Portugal, Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Italy as well as Jordan which will be represented by some 400 runners from several governorate.

Several public and private institutions have shown interest in sponsoring Jordanian runners by bearing the full costs of their participation.

In the year 2001, 560 runners participated from all over the world, of them 120 were foreign runners representing different countries: the United States Of America, Austria, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Lebanon, Morocco, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Belgium, Oman, Iraq, France, Syria, Italy, Cyprus & Holland.

In the year 2000, 450 runners participated of them 130 were foreign runners.

Prize Giving Ceremony:

During the prize giving ceremony, the Spanish group, which constituted of 46 runners, presented the president of the Society for Care of Neurological Patients, HRH Prince Firas Bin Raad with a donation worth 3000 Euro dollar.

Following the end of the race, participants enjoyed bungee jumping, which was available for enthusiasts for the first time in the Kingdom, in addition to the performance of Lebanese band, the Four Cats & the new Jordanian singer Mr. Ahmad Abanda.
